Top PlayStation Accessories for 2023

Last updated on January 15th, 2023 at 08:33 pm

We wanted to share some of the top PlayStation 5 accessories with you as the console’s availability grows around the globe.

We’ve got you covered, even if you were one of the lucky few who got a PS5 early and now want to upgrade.

This buying guide will include suggestions for the goods we believe to be the best on the market, as well as advice on the accessories that will improve your gaming experience.

Razer Kaira X Wired Headset:

There are other options for headsets, just like there are different ways to store things.

With the environment it offers, the Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset makes for an excellently concentrated gaming session, but it’s also understandable if some fans aren’t prepared to spend three figures on a headset.

This need is met by the Razer Kaira X Wired Headset, which is a high-quality, comfortable, and reasonably priced option made with the PS5 in mind.

You shouldn’t ignore these kinds of gadgets, like the Nintendo Switch, because they benefit a lot from third-party accessories.

Media Remote:

Since the first PlayStation came out in the 1990s, these consoles have also become popular as media players, even though they are mostly used for games.

The PS2 was known for advancing to DVD playback, the PS3/PS4 for Blu-ray playback, and the PS5, which now supports 4K Ultra HD discs and streaming.

And the official PlayStation Media Remote will be a useful companion item for people who appreciate taking advantage of the PS5’s media-side benefits.

Even though you can finally use DualSense to control video, it can be hard to figure out which gamepad inputs are for watching a movie or using a streaming service.

The PS5 Media Remote, on the other hand, is as user-friendly as any contemporary remote and comes with specific buttons for Netflix, Disney+, and other services.

PowerA Twin Charging Station

The PowerA Twin Charging Station becomes, at the very least, a highly recommended accessory for anyone who chooses to purchase an extra DualSense Controller (or two) this Christmas season.

Because there aren’t many USB inputs on the PS5 console itself to charge the controller, charging numerous controllers for the same console could be time-consuming on its own.

The Twin Charging Station works well and doesn’t cost too much, so it can charge two controllers at the same time.

Even when the controllers are docked, there is a quick, sliding input that gets rid of the need to plug in USB cables.

Sony Wireless Pulse 3D Headset

Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset for PS5 promotional picture Gaming headsets are the most popular accessory for any gaming platform.

Even though there are a number of inexpensive headsets that are also worth considering, the Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset is a fantastic option for those who wish to take the enthusiast path.

This stylish headset was made just for the PS5, and it has great 3D sound that makes games sound more real and helps you get into the game more.

Its ergonomics are also well-designed, with softly padded cups, noise-canceling technology, and the adjustable head strap that gamers have grown accustomed to.

DualSense Control Unit:

Over the years, several top video game controllers have been released for PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, and other platforms.

But the DualSense Controller for the PS5 might be the best design so far, and it’s now available in different colors.

It has a good amount of weight without seeming cumbersome, and the arrangement is generally very ergonomic.

The textured grips might be better than the smooth DualShock 4 on the PlayStation 4, and all of the buttons and triggers are easy to reach and fun to press.

not to mention the revolutionary immersive haptic feedback that transforms traditional controller rumble.

PlayStation 5 Console:

Even though the PS5 has some of the best-looking accessories, many gamers like to change the way their home consoles look.

The disc and digital versions of the PS5 came in a simple white-with-black-accents style at launch.

However, Sony has now approved support for alternative-colored console covers after more time was provided.

The official covers are provided by PlayStation, but there are also several excellent (and less expensive) third-party options, such as the Benazcap brand variants.

Crucial P5 Plus 1TB SSD Drive:

Storage space is important, but now that Sony has approved a number of third-party drives as fully compatible with the PS5, gamers have a lot of choices.

It makes sense that some people would prefer not to choose the best drive on the market because large and fast SSDs can become very pricey.

The Crucial P5 Plus 1TB SSD serves as one of the best of its size on the less expensive end of the spectrum, demonstrating how helpful that same diversity is in the budget category.

The read and write speeds of this drive are still faster than the native SSD in the PS5, even though they are slower than those of its more expensive siblings.

However, prospective purchasers should be aware that this drive does not have a heatsink, which is necessary to keep it cool.

Fortunately, competent heatsinks can be purchased for $20 or less.

PlayStation Plus:

Even though PlayStation Plus is really a digital accessory, it nevertheless ranks among the top add-ons for Sony’s gaming experience.

Since the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 came out, Sony has changed its premium subscription service and added a lot of premium tiers. This has made it more developed.

The Further and Premium tiers now offer extra perks, including access to many of PlayStation’s top exclusives and earlier generation classics from the PS2, PS3, and PSP eras.

The Essential Verizon’s basic structure remains the same.

HD Camera:

For gamers who want to stream their games, they will need extra hardware and software, and Sony has a solution for both of these needs.

The PlayStation HD Camera has two wide-angle lenses that can record 1080p video. This makes it perfect for people who want to take their streaming to a more professional level.

When watching the action on Twitch or YouTube, players will be able to feel like they are right there in the action.

With the software on the camera, players will be able to change the background while playing or broadcasting.

MP600 Pro LPX 1TB SSD Drive:

The PlayStation 5’s lightning-fast internal SSD storage drive is one of its best features.

Games no longer have to boot or load, which makes playing feel much more fluid and natural.

While games aren’t exactly getting much smaller digitally, one of the primary concerns of the console is how surprisingly restricted the onboard SSD is, with only 667GB of the claimed 1TB being available.

But help is on the way thanks to the Corsair MP600 Pro LPX SSD Drive, which gives the PS5 an extra TB of storage space.

This is unquestionably among the top-performing external drives.
