Hived, a fully electric delivery network based in London, UK, has raised $12.4 million in Series A funding.
Investors
Planet A Ventures led the round, with current investors Maersk Growth, Eka Ventures, and Pale Blue Dot also participating.
The cash will be used to further invest in the staff, technology, and a new warehouse.
Progress
Hived is constructing a large-scale delivery network that is entirely powered by electricity and is integrated with Metapack, Shopify, Shiptheory, and other platforms, with features such as dynamic delivery window ETA, live tracking, in-flight redirect options, customizable customer communications, and merchant dashboards with carbon-saving reporting.
Since raising its initial seed financing in August 2021, the company has increased its sales by 30% month over month, delivering for some of the largest retailers such as ASOS and Zara, as well as some of the fastest-growing SME’s such as Candy Kittens, Vitl, and Pip & Nut, among others.
The company has grown from 40 employees to over 1,000 drivers.
