Professional Review for Latest Amazon Fire TV
The Amazon Fire TV 4-Series is a low-cost, entry-level 4K television. It’s one of the first Amazon-branded TVs, along with the Fire TV Omni. Because the VA panel can’t get bright enough to overcome glare in a bright room, it’s best suited for a dark setting.
It has excellent low input lag for gaming, but it lacks advanced gaming capabilities. The Fire TV smart interface is simple to use, and it has a large number of additional apps, so you’re sure to locate your favourite streaming service.
Unfortunately, it isn’t a particularly nice TV in general, with poor viewing angles, terrible gradient handling, and a slow response time.
With poor accuracy out of the box, and even calibrating it doesn’t fix many of the faults, so the image appears distorted.
It is a good TV for bright rooms where you want to watch shows. It does a good job of making 1080p content look better, and the interface makes it easy to find your favourite shows among the many streaming apps.
Even though it does a good job of controlling reflections, its peak brightness is only adequate, making it hard to see in bright places. It also has low viewing angles, so it’s not good if you want to watch TV while moving around or with a big group.
Amazon Fire Omni Series TV review
Amazon’s news that it would develop its own line of televisions caught many people off guard, but the corporation has clearly done its homework. For a low price, the Amazon Omni TV combines a bright, vibrant 4K/HDR screen with a smart platform and Alexa integration.
Even though the Omni TV is more of a budget model, like the TCL 4-Series or the Vizio V-Series, it often performs more like a mid-range model because its brightness and colour saturation are above average.
But the contrast isn’t very good, and the lighting on the screen may not be uniform, as we found with our review sample. Here is where it falls short of the better models on our list of the best TVs under $1000.
Gamers will be put off by the native refresh rate of 60 Hz and the fact that there is only one HDMI 2.1 port. However, smart home fans may like having an Alexa-enabled TV that can control their doorbell cameras and smart lights.
